This Do In Rememberence Of Me
“This do in remembrance of me” is a phrase from the King James Version of the Bible that appears in 1 Corinthians 11:23 and Luke 22:19. It is a central part of Christian worship and the practice of communion.

Rev. Dominic Ford - Rev. Dr. Emory C. Virgil, Sr. Pastor - Min. Cleveland Spencer

Greetings
From Our Pastor
What a pleasure for us to welcome You to Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Our utmost concern is that You do not feel like a stranger, but that the warmth of our fellowship will assure You that Providence is a Family reaching out to You in Christian Love.
We are people worshipping; people learning; people witnessing; people discovering their gifts, talents, and purposes; people interacting and sharing our joys and sorrows; our successes and failures; people who are zealously growing in knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and sharing Him with a hurting world.
What a precious and fulfilling life we have as the "Children of God", worshipping and fellowshipping together as a part of the "Family of God", in this challenging and unchartered twenty-first (21st) century.
"Glorifying God, Magnifying Christ, and Helping Others"
WE ARE SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE!
Pastor Emory C. Virgil, Sr.

How to Become a Disciple of
Jesus Christ and join
Providence Missionary Baptist Church
At the end of each worship service, we give an opportunity for people to respond which is called the "Invitation to Discipleship."

During this time, those who desire to join PMBC may come to the front of the church where they will be greeted by the pastor and the church clerk. You will then be assigned new member mentors where you will have an opportunity to learn more about the process of membership, fill out appropriate paper work, and have your picture taken.
Alternately, you may come to the pastor's study after the conclusion of the morning worship service and speak with him regarding your decision. During the week, you may contact the church office (229) 226-8242, and we can schedule an appointment to meet with you.

To be a member of PMBC you must first be a Christian who has been scripturally baptized. You may join by a "statement" of your faith or by moving your membership "letter" from another Baptist church.

If you have not yet followed Jesus' example in scriptural baptism, you can discuss it during a meeting with our pastor or his designee.

If you have questions before joining, you can learn more about Providence Missionary Baptist Church in several ways:

-
Wednesday evening during Bible Study.
-
Contacting Sister Catherine Jones (Church Clerk) or Deacon Karl Abrams.
-
Minister Cleveland Spencer (Christian Education)

Our Mission is to support and equip our members and their families emotionally, physically, and spiritually during and after their cancer and other challenging health issues. The following individuals serve as the leadership and primary contact persons for this ministry: Deacon JT Thompson, Deacon Charles Baker, and Sister Debbra Gilbert. Meetings generally take place on the third Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the E.S. Sheffield Hall.
